PROCESS
If you are reading this, you have already been accepted to Coastal Carolina
University or you are looking forward to that day. On behalf of the Admissions
staff, congratulations!
So what do you do now? There are a few matters to take care of which
are part of the enrollment process, matters such as making your enrollment
deposit, reserving a room in a residence hall and scheduling an Orientation
session. Once these steps are completed, you will be ready to start classes
at Coastal Carolina University. If you have any questions along the way, please contact the

The steps in the enrollment process are as follows:
1. Make Your Enrollment Deposit
Enroll online today at http://www.coastal.edu/admissions/deposit.html. You will need the applicant username you received by letter after you applied to the University and the password you selected during set-up. Click Submit. If you have not set-up your password, go to http://www.coastal.edu/search/setup. If you have lost or misplaced this letter, please contact the Office of Admissions at 843-349-2290 or 843-349-2028.
You can also complete and return the Enrollment Notification Form enclosed in the enrollment packet or print the form from the link above. Please make your $100 enrollment deposit no later than May 1, 2010. We will be glad to accept your enrollment deposit prior to May 1. Your enrollment deposit will be credited toward your 2010 fall semester tuition. If you decide not to attend Coastal Carolina University and have paid your deposit prior to May 1, you may request a refund of your enrollment deposit by writing to the Vice President for Enrollment Services prior to May 1, 2010. No refunds are issued after May 1, 2010.
2. Complete and Return the Immunization Form
Every student entering a South Carolina college or university is required
to provide an immunization record prior to enrollment. Please complete the Immunization
Form enclosed in the enrollment packet or print the form from the link above and return it to the Office of Admissions. If you have any questions regarding immunization requirements,
please call the Office of Student Health Services at 843-349-6543.
3. Complete and Return the Office of Residence Life Application/Contract
for Housing and Meal Plan (Residential Students Only)
To apply for campus housing:
1) Complete the Residence Life Application/Contract online at
http://www.coastal.edu/reslife/.
2) Housing assignments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis,
and no assignments will be made until the $100 enrollment deposit is received
in the Office of Admissions. Any changes you elect to make in the housing
application should be made in writing to the Office of Residence Life,
P.O. Box 261954, Conway, SC 29528-6054.
4. Ensure Your Acceptance Remains in Effect
To ensure your acceptance to Coastal Carolina University remains in effect,
freshmen must:
1) Complete the requirements for graduation from secondary school,
2) Provide a final official high school transcript prior to enrollment
to confirm that Coastal Carolina University prerequisite course requirements
have been met,
3) Prior to enrolling at Coastal Carolina University, provide an official college transcript
if you have received any college credit from another institution and
4) Provide official Advanced Placement (AP) score reports from the College
Board if you have AP credits.
Transfer students must:
1) Earn a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA on all course work taken prior to
entering Coastal Carolina University and
2) Ensure that all final, official transcripts are forwarded to Coastal
Carolina University as soon as you complete your final session. Your financial
aid, advisement, registration and other areas are affected by your admission
status.
5. Attend Orientation
Orientation is designed to introduce you to the campus and to allow you
to meet and develop friendships with fellow students. During Orientation,
you will meet faculty members and receive your class schedule. You will also learn about the availability of services and activities on campus and interact with other new and continuing students.
There is also a corresponding Orientation program for your parents designed
to address parents' questions and concerns regarding academic requirements,
advisement, your health and safety and the many services available to
you. Parent Orientation emphasizes the important role your parents play
in your college success.
Orientation dates are available at http://www.coastal.edu/admissions/orientation.html. You will receive more information on the Orientation program and how to
register for an Orientation session in February. Do not make travel
plans until you have received a written Orientation confirmation. If you
have any additional questions regarding Orientation or would like to register
for a session, please call 843-349-2027 or visit the Orientation Web
page.
6. Take Care of Your Financial Obligations
If you advance register at Orientation on or before August 5, 2010, tuition
payment will be required by August 5, 2010 to guarantee your enrollment.
Failure to pay by August 5, 2010 will result in the cancellation of your
course schedule. If you register at Orientation after August 5, 2010,
payment will be due at the time of registration.

Coastal Carolina University offers an attractive monthly payment plan
to assist students in paying for the cost of attendance. The student's
balance is divided into three equal payments. A $35 enrollment fee must
be paid with the first payment. Additional information on the Monthly
