| ORIENTATION
- FRESHMAN
It’s finally here. The first day of your life at Coastal Carolina
University. The day that you finally get to do everything you’ve been
hearing about and talking about for months. Instead of just wondering what
classes you’ll be taking in the fall, you’ll have a schedule
in your hand. Instead of just imagining who you’ll be hanging out
with when school starts, you’ll be playing volleyball with them in
the sand. And it all happens at Freshman Orientation.
Because new freshmen often have the most questions about the University
and life on campus, freshmen attend two-day orientation sessions. There
are six sessions just for freshman students. All sessions begin at 10:15
a.m. the first day and end at approximately 12:00 noon the second day.
Students are also required to stay on campus during Orientation and one
night of housing is included in the registration fee.
Believe it or not, during your two busy days at Orientation, you will do
all the following:
- Meet with academic deans and faculty members
- Receive your fall class schedule
- Learn about life on campus from CCU students
- Receive information about student and academic support services
- Learn your way around campus
- Have your photo taken for your University ID card
