Freshman applicants should submit the following:

  1. A completed application for admission. Students are strongly encouraged to apply online at www.applyweb.com/apply/coastal/menu.html.
  2. The application fee for applying for admission is $45. The application fee is non-refundable. non-refundable.

Image of Bell Tower Coastal Carolina University has a rolling admissions policy. This means that applications will be accepted as long as space is available. Students should, however, apply early in order to meet all scholarship and financial aid deadlines. Students typically receive notification of their admission status within three weeks.

Freshman admission is based on the following:

  1. Completion of a core curriculum of 20 units:
    4 units of English
    3 units of math (Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II)
    3 units of laboratory science (2 units from different fields)
    2 units of the same foreign language
    3 units of social studies (one unit must be U.S. History)
    1 unit of PE or ROTC
    4 units of academic electives
  2. GPA in these core subjects.
  3. SAT or ACT scores. If a student tests more than once, the best score is considered.
  4. Other relevant information such as extracurricular activities, community service, etc.
  5. Additional materials are not required but will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee.
Transfer Applicants

Transfer admission to Coastal Carolina University is competitive. More than 1,300 applications are received for 650 available spaces. Average transfer GPA: 2.81.

Transfer applicants should submit the following:

  1. A completed application for admission. Students are strongly encouraged to apply online at www.applyweb. com/apply/coastal/menu.html.
  2. The application fee for applying for admission is $45. The application fee is nonrefundable.
  3. Official transcripts for all colleges and universities attended.
  4. Students who have earned less than 24 transferable credits must also submit an official high school transcript credits must also submit an official high school transcript and SAT or ACT scores.

  3. If the applicant has less than 24 transferable credits, his/her high school academic record and SAT or ACT scores will also be considered.
  4. Upon acceptance, a list of the credits that are accepted by Coastal Carolina for transfer credit will be forwarded to the student.
