Ramon L. Taylor, Chair
Ramon L. Taylor is the Chair of Coastal African American
Professionals. He has been with CAP since its inception in
1997.
Ramon was one of seven children born in Louisville, Kentucky
on December 26, 1975. Ramon also entered the United States
Air Force Reserves while attending Coastal Carolina University.
He later returned to Coastal and earned a Bachelor of Arts
in Psychology in 2000.
While at Coastal some of Ramon’s extra curricular activities
included:
- Leadership Challenge (1996-1998)
- EMERGE (1997-1998)
- African American Association (1996-2000) \
- Student Government Association (1996-1998)
- NAACP (Founded the organization in 1997)
- Secretary of Student Government Association (1997-1998)
As an alumnus, Ramon has remained an active participant in
Coastal programs. In addition Ramon and CAP have started a
tailgating tradition which was featured in the Sun News November
of 2003. He resides in Atlanta, Georgia, where is employed
as an Associate Development Coordinator. Ramon is currently
activated by the United States Air Force in support of contingencies
all over the globe.

Keira Y. Session, 1st Vice Chair
Keira Y. Session is the 1st Vice Chair of Coastal African
American Professionals. She has been with CAP since its inception
in 1997. Her responsibilities as 1st Vice Chair are to assume
the necessary duties of the President in his absence.
Keira was born in Georgetown, South Carolina on January 25,
1976. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical
Education, from Coastal Carolina University in 1999, and dual
Master of Arts degrees in Human Resource Development and Human
Resource Management from Webster University in 2004.
While at Coastal some of Keira’s extra curricular activities
included:
- Coastal Carolina Softball Team (1995-1997)
- African American Association (1995-1999)
- Student Government Association (1995-1999)
- Gospel Choir (1995-1999)
- Baptist Student Union (1995-1998)
- Fellowship of Christian Athletes (1996-1999)
- South Carolina Alliance for Health, Physical Education,
- Recreation and Dance (1996-1999)
- NAACP (Charter Member)
- Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (1997-1999)
As an alumnus, Keira has remained an active participant in
Coastal programs. She currently resides in Columbia, South
Carolina, and works as a Retail Sales Consultant for Cingular
Wireless. |

Tiffany N. Crawford, 2nd Vice Chair
Tiffany N. Crawford is the 2nd Vice Chair of Coastal African
American Professionals. She has been with CAP since its inception
in 1997. Her responsibilities as 2nd Vice Chair are to assume
the necessary duties of the President in his absence.
Tiffany was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 15,
1977. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Science,
with biology minor, from Coastal Carolina University in 1999,
and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Policy from
Drexel University in 2003.
While at Coastal some of Tiffany’s extra curricular
activities included:
- Leadership Challenge (1995-1999)
- EMERGE (1997-1999)
- African American Association (1996-1999)
- Student Government Association (1996-1999)
- Gospel Choir (1996-1999)
- NAACP (Charter Member)

As an alumnus, Tiffany has remained an active participant
in Coastal programs. In addition to her work with CAP, Tiffany
has also participated on Coastal’s 50th Anniversary
committee. She currently resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,
and works as an Environmental Scientist for the Region III
office of the United States Environmental Protection Agency. |

Treda B. Smith, Secretary
Treda B. Smith is the Secretary of Coastal African American
Professionals. She has been with CAP since its inception in
1997. Her responsibilities as Secretary are to maintain accurate
records of meetings and activities, and to coordinate correspondence
within and outside of the organization.
Ms. Smith was born in Richmond, VA on September 18, 1977.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Science,
with Biology and German minors, from Coastal Carolina University
in 1999, and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Sciences
and Policy from Johns Hopkins University in 2004.
While at Coastal some of Treda’s extra curricular activities
included:

- African American Association (1996-1999)
- Student Government Association (1996-1999)
- Gospel Choir (1996-1999)

Treda still remains an active participant in various Coastal
activities. She was designated as a Class of 1999 Reunion
Agent for Coastal’s 50th Anniversary Celebration. She
presently resides in Bowie, MD, and is employed at the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency where she is an Environmental
Protection Specialist in the Office of Water.

Stacy J. Taylor, Treasurer
Stacy J. Taylor is the Treasurer of Coastal African American
Professionals (CAP). Her responsibilities include all aspects
of CAP’s financial functions, including financial planning,
treasury, tax, accounting and controls, internal audit and
strategic sourcing. She has been with CAP since its inception
in 1997.
Stacy was born in 1976 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She earned her
bachelor’s degree in business administration at Coastal
Carolina University and received a dual master’s in
human resource management and human resource development at
Webster University. She joined CAP in 1997. She currently
is a member of the Air Force Reserves and is a human resource
manager for Kmart Corporation.
While at Coastal some of Stacy’s extra curricular activities
included:
- Leadership Challenge (1994-1995)
- African American Association (1994-1999) President 95-96,
- Student Government Association (1995-1999)
- NAACP 1997-1998
As an alumnus, Stacy has remained an active participant in
Coastal programs. In addition Stacy and CAP have started a
tailgating tradition which was featured in the Sun News in
November of 2003. She resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her
husband Ramon Taylor, they have no children. Stacy is currently
activated by the United States Air Force. |
