Student Alumni Ambassador

The Coastal Carolina SAA is a group that provides student leaders with the opportunity to participate in on-campus and off-campus events sponsored by the Alumni Association, the Office of the President, and the University. The purpose of this participation is two-fold: it helps the University and its divisions offer more quality events for alumni, friends, faculty and staff, and, more importantly, it provides crucial networking possibilities for Coastal's best student leaders. Responsibilities of the members of CCSAA include serving as hosts and hostesses at campus events for alumni, friends, and faculty and staff; serving as team leaders for the Annual Fund telefund fundraiser; assisting the Office of Alumni Affairs in mailings, events, and other solicitation/communication endeavors; executing a community service to rally other students as well as alumni, faculty and staff together in a joint effort; and serving as leaders among the Coastal Carolina University Student body to help instill pride in their University and, consequently, pride in their alma mater after graduation. CREED: We believe that, as students, we have a special relationship with Coastal Carolina University that represents a lifetime commitment as a result of the fulfillment of our dreams and aspirations. As students, we are the focus of Coastal Carolina's goals and objectives. As alumni, we will represent the mission of the University and will be the embodiment of its spirit in the world. Where Coastal is, we are. What Coastal becomes, we become. Because we are the emerging essence of our institution, we will strive to enhance this special relationship between students, alumni and friends of the University so that the heritage of our University and, eventually, our alma mater, will always be a part of our lives - for the present as we follow our dreams and in the future as we realize them. GOALS: Identify student needs Develop programs to assist students in achieving more productive college lives. Help students make the transition to alumni Foster a desire to support the University Serve as an ambassador for the University and for the Coastal Carolina Alumni Association. PURPOSE: To stimulate the interest and participation of undergraduates in the process of Coastal Carolina University and preserve and further loyalty and fellowship between the institution, students, alumni, friends, faculty and staff.
