Assessment Cycle for Continuous Improvement |
Assessment is a systemic and systematic four-step continuous cycle that uses results to review, and at times revise, outcomes and goals, learning opportunities, and assessment measures. Using assessment results assist faculty and staff to improve teaching, improve the curricula, plan for student activities, and focus on student learning and development. Students benefit when expectations are clear and established, when assessment feedback provides information on their strengths and weaknesses, and when assessment results of active engagement provide documentation of what they learned when applying for jobs, awards, or advanced study (Suskie,2004).
