Interdisciplinary Studies is a unique academic program that offers highly motivated and intellectually curious students the opportunity to develop an individualized and integrated major program of study from across the traditional academic disciplines.

The Interdisciplinary Studies Program:

• Offers the opportunity to design a unique program of scholastic inquiry
• Promotes learning across and beyond traditional disciplinary borders
• Encourages integrative thinking and practice

Before being admitted to the Program, students must submit an application in which they explain their specific academic and professional goals and propose an integrated cross-disciplinary course of study. The application deadline for admission into the Program for the Fall semester is March 1; the application deadline for admission into the Program for the Spring semester (or Summer terms) is October 1.
