Interdisciplinary concentrations consist of 30 credit hours in advanced courses (300-400 level) addressing a common theme. Courses comprising particular concentrations must integrate at least three disciplines. Sample concentrations with a selection of courses are listed below.

Arts Management
Approachable by art studio, art history, music, theatre and dance majors or minors, the Arts Management concentration is designed for students interested in further practical and academic experiences in the area of arts management.

Business Communication
The integrated Business Communication concentration is designed for students who wish to familiarize themselves with various areas of business with a concentration in the skills and competencies required of organizational communication specialists.

Community and Human Services
The Community and Human services concentration is designed to allow students to explore their interest in various human service careers, with an emphasis on working with youth and family.

Community and Learning Concentration
Designed for students who embrace the value of nonformal teaching and learning that often occurs beyond the walls of schools and traditional educational settings. This concentration will be of interest to those individuals who work with children and youth in settings such as faith-based settings, community agencies, nonprofit organizations, service-learning programs, and/or community development programs.

Law and Society
The interdisciplinary concentration in Law and Society would appeal to students who are interested in studying the law, legal processes, legal institutions, and the role of law in society from a multidisciplinary perspective.

Organizational Leadership
The Organizational Leadership concentration exposes students to the interdisciplinary nature of leadership in business, government and nonprofit organizations, and would equip students with the skills and competencies essential to understanding, serving and leading their organizations.
