Dr. Dennis Wiseman serves as the Director of the Biddle Center. Before becoming Director, Dr. Wiseman served at the University as Dean of the College of Education for eighteen years and Associate Provost for Academics for five years. He also has served as adjunct professor at Clemson University. Dr. Wiseman has been active through committee and accreditation work with the South Carolina Department of Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. He is a past president of the South Carolina Association of Colleges of Teacher Education (SCACTE) and of the Coastal Carolina University chapter of Phi Delta Kappa. He has published numerous articles in professional journals and books in the field of education. He has taught with the Indianapolis, Indiana and Champaign, Illinois public schools and holds the Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, Illinois.
