An important part of the mission of the Spadoni College of Education, through the Biddle Center for Teaching and Learning, is to serve educators in ways that help them be more effective in their work. Some of this service may come in the form of individual and group consultations, workshops, seminars and conferences. It also may come in the form of especially tailored graduate study specific to the needs of individual schools and/or districts. The information that follows pertains to state and national standards and statements of excellence and quality in the area of professional development. Some of it is provided as helpful and important information related to high standards in teaching and learning. Some of it, however, also is pertinent to the development and delivery of graduate coursework for the Spadoni College of Education.
