More than 78 percent of CCU students recently surveyed noted they would rely partly on financial aid to study abroad. We have heard that need and sought to address it, both through creating affordable, high-value study abroad programs and through developing a number of scholarships. There are currently two scholarships CCU offers which students in the Wall College may pursue.
- Wall College of Business Board of Visitors International Programs Scholarship – This scholarship was created to help make study abroad programs through the Wall College of Business more affordable to students with financial need and outstanding academic and personal references. For 2012/13, the program will have $6,000 available to offer students participating in one of the study abroad programs through the Wall College of Business.
- Horry County Higher Education International Awareness Award – This scholarship was established in 2009 to support study abroad opportunities for students who have graduated from accredited high schools in Horry County. The scholarships range up to $2,000, each with a maximum of $20,000 per year available for the program.
- New!! In 2012/13, students studying abroad for a semester or longer through the Wall College of Business are eligible to receive a small scholarship through the CCU Experienced@ CCU Program to help offset passport and transportation costs of getting abroad. For more information about this program, contact Darla Domke-Damonte, Ph.D. at firstname.lastname@example.org or +1 843 349 2129, or stop by her office in Wall 213C.
In addition to these scholarships, students are urged to visit with CCU's Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships to determine what, if any, additional support may be available to them. For more information about international internships, please visit the International Internships page.
All scholarships have specific deadlines with materials required to be considered complete, so please do not wait until the last minute to get started with your application.
