Organizational mission or general goals:
To serve as a catalyst to provide the informational, educational, and recreational needs of the entire community.
Primary services provided:
Computer services, books, newspapers, magazines, books (large print included),interlibrary loans, meeting rooms,videos and DVDs, CDs and tapes and fax services, bookmobile.
Primary clientele served:
General public, to include adult programs.
Employees and/or volunteers:
25 and 3 locations.
Staff members eligible for professional credentialing and credentialed staff members employed:
Six staff members have library certification.
Clients/patients/participants served each year:
Visitors 242,723; circulated items, 185,890; registered borrowers, 47,109; and adult programs (5th in the state, 4,229.
Organization accredited or certified by an outside agency or association:
Only public library in the country chosen as a "Local Legacy" by the Library of Congress.
Special services or pricing for senior citizens:
