Organizational mission or general goals: LOW COUNTRY PHYSICAL THERAPY provides state of the art, comprehensive, hands on treatment for all your musculo-skeletal problems. We pride ourselves in delivering the highest quality of care with excellent outcomes and cost effective treatment which gives the customer significant value for our services. Primary services provided: Physical Therapy Evaluation and Treatment of Acute and Chronic Conditions, Pre and Post Operative Care, Balance and Reconditioning, Wellness Program.
Primary clientele served: We treat all people young and old, active and in-active, athletes and non-athletes with care and commitment to achieve your goals and relieve your symptoms.
Employees and/or volunteers: 4 Professional and 8 support staff. We believe in giving back to the profession and accept students from CCU, HGTC, MUSC, and USC in allied health and physical therapy programs.
Staff members eligible for professional credentialing and credentialed staff members employed: 4 therapists licensed by the SC Board of Medicine.
Clients/patients/participants served each year: Over 10,000 treatments in 2009.
Organization accredited or certified by an outside agency or association: Member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Certified Golf Fitness Instructor with Titlest Golf.
Special services or pricing for senior citizens: We accept all major medical insurances and are participating providers of medicare (services are usually covered at 100% with a secondary insurance). We also have a wellness program at a very affordable fee to continue your fitness program once formal treatment is no longer necessary.
Comments: "Direct Access" in South Carolina allow patients the ability to seek evaluation and treatment by a physical therapist. You can be seen for 30 days without a prescription from your physician. If after 30 days you require further intervention the therapist must refer you to the appropriate physician or specialist. All aimed at reducing the cost to the consumer. |
