Primary services provided:
SERVICES FOR SENIORS: The NMB Parks and Recreation Department always looks to expand programs to accomodate the community's needs. We currently offer everything from cultural arts classes, to special interest, fitness,card games,to free concerts and festivals. Examples of some of the programs currently offered are ballroom dance, Jazzercise,zumba,stamp camp, drawing and painting, yoga, pilates, Bones for Life, mah jong, scrap booking, bridge, pickleball, open gym volleyball, weight watchers, tennis, clogging, Feldenkrais (Awareness Through Movement), and much more.
Primary clientele served:
Horry County citizens 50 years and older.
Employees and/or volunteers:
7 full-time staff, 4 part-time, and we are always looking for more volunteers.
Staff members eligible for professional credentialing and credentialed staff members employed:
All full time staff possesses one or more degrees from higher education institutions.
Clients/patients/participants served each year:
The North Myrtle Beach Parks and Recreation Department serves a resident population of 12,500 and a seasonal population in excess of 50,000 individuals.

Special services or pricing for senior citizens:
Beach Wheelchairs are available at no charge to individuals staying in the N.M.B. area. Reservations are encouraged.
