Organizational mission or general goals:


Primary services provided:
MB Cultural and Leisure Services offers a wide variety of recreational (bingo games, dance classes, playgrounds, picnics, banquets, camps, etc.), fitness (swimming, weight rooms, gymnasium, cardio, aerobics, pilates, karate, tai chi, yoga, etc.), arts and crafts, and sports (softball, table tennis, volleyball, basketball, raquetball and tennis) activities at five recreational facilities throughout the city. (See entry #10 below.) (Charges for seniors over 55 years of age are $2.50/day for residents or non-residents, $20/month for residents, $35/month for non-residents, and $100/year for residents, and $170/year for non-residents.)

Primary clientele served:
Youth and seniors based on public demand.

Employees and/or volunteers:
37 Full-time; 45-65 part-time; 400+ volunteers.

Staff members eligible for professional credentialing and credentialed staff members employed:
We have 6 certified Parks and Recreation Professionals (CPRPs) administered through the National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA).

Clients/patients/participants served each year:
Around 30,000 per year, including permanent residents, tourists, and "snow birds" during the winter months.

Special services or pricing for senior citizens:
We offer fitness, exercise, and sports programs for adults over 50 years of age, and a special daily rate of $2.50 for walk-in fitness programs.
