Organizational mission or general goals:
This is an advisory committee to the Myrtle Beach City Council.
Primary services provided:
The committee sponsors the annual Job and Volunteer Assistance Fair (JAVA) for senior citizens, usually held in February or March, where employers and volunteer and charitable organizations seek paid or volunteer help. The S.C. Employment Security Commission co-sponsors this event (which is free and open to the public).

Senior citizens in Myrtle Beach.

The committee's nine members are volunteers appointed by the City Council.
