Organizational mission or general goals:
The mission of Loris Healthcare System is to take a leadership role in providing quality services that promote achievement and continuous improvement of health, wellness and overall quality of life in our communities. Loris Healthcare System will provide a complete network of services to improve the health, wellness and overall quality of life of the citizens in our communities and will be widely recognized for it innovative practices.
Primary services provided:
Skilled Intermediate and long term care. Skilled nursing: Private room ($153/day); Semi-Private room ($148/day)
Primary clientele served:
Elderly persons needing long term nursing care.
Employees and/or volunteers:
83 Full-time staff and 24 part-time staff.
Staff members eligible for professional credentialing and credentialed staff members employed:
Registered nurses (12), licenced practical nurses (18), certified nursing assistants (38), social workers (2), and health administrator (1) have earned the appropriate registrations, licences, and certifications for their positions.

The Loris Extended Care Center is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).

We also own and operate: Loris Community Hospital - a 105 bed facility; Seacoast Medical Center an ambulatory surgery, outpatient diagnostics and 24 hour emergency center in Little River (inpatient services coming in early 2011); Family Health Centers in Loris and Green Sea; Center for Health and Fitness in Loris. The following medical practices are affiliated with Loris Healthcare System: Family Life Medicine; Seacoast Neurology Associates; Seacoast Primary Care and Southern Medical Associates. |
