Providing competent legal counsel and advice to seniors regarding elder law issues.
Primary services provided:
Elder law, including advance medical directives (Living Wills, Health Care Powers, EMS-DNR Orders); estate planning, including wills, revocable living trusts, special needs and Medicaid trusts, long-term care planning, durable powers of attorney (financial/property); nursing home placement and rights, nursing home injuries, Medicaid laws, Medicaid planning and asset preservation; disability and end-of-life planning; conservatorships and guardianships; probate of Wills; probate and estate administration.
Primary clientele served:
Older adults and their families and caregivers.
Employees and/or volunteers:
One full-time and occasional volunteers/interns.
Staff members eligible for professional credentialing and credentialed staff members employed:
Elder law attorney, Kathryn Cook DeAngelo, has a J.D. law degree and is licensed to practice in South Carolina, North Carolina, and the District of Columbia, and is also admitted to practice before the D. C. Court of Appeals and the U. S. Supreme Court.
