Organizational mission or general goals:
A monthly get-together for mutual support and learning for men with prostate cancer and their loved ones. Open to all, whether they are watchfully waiting, have been diagnosed recently and are trying to finalize a decision for treatment. have already made a decision, have a raising PSA, metastasis, have already undergone treatment, or are on advanced treatment.
Primary services provided:
Support and information for cancer survivors and their families (no charge).
Monthly mailings go to registered members. Meetings are announced in the month Healthfinders schedule of events published in the Sun News.
Primary clientele served:
Men at any stage of prostate cancer, their loved ones and caregivers.
Employees and/or volunteers:
No employees; all volunteers.
Staff members eligible for professional credentialing and credentialed staff members employed:

Approximately 250 - 350.

USTOO International Prostate Cancer Educational Education & Support Network; American Cancer Society MAN TO MAN.

Comments:
Mr. Tom Byingyon, 843-651-5478, is a facilitator. Mr. John Murphy, 843-399-7272, is a facilitator and in charge of publicity.
Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM. There is no meeting in July and on National Holidays. The Meetings are held at Healthfinders next to Dillards in the Coastal Grand Mall, Myrtle Beach, SC. |
