Ross Kunmann is a motivated student with a hunger to leap right into a great job after he finishes his schooling. Describing himself as proactive, Ross takes charge whether he is working for University Recreation as a supervisor on the HTC Center fitness floor or contributing 100% to Pi Kappa Alpha, the fraternity that recently named him Gentleman of the Year.
To understand Ross, you need to know one of his philosophies.
“The more you put in, the more you get out,” the junior from Bel Air, Md., told us during his interview.
This explains why Ross applied for, and was granted acceptance, into the Wall Fellows Program. A rigorous two-year career-focused experience, the program is not for everyone. However, Ross reasoned that the two years he will devote to meeting and exceeding the high expectations of the Wall Fellows Program will help him achieve his lofty career goals.
Proactive people like Ross are not shy. If you see him on campus make sure to introduce yourself and feed off his energy.
How did you hear about Coastal?: My next door neighbor and childhood friend came here.
Why did you come to Coastal?: I fell in love in one visit and it was the only school I applied to. I knew what I wanted.
Favorite professor: Dr. Lee Shinaberger
Favorite class: CBAD 290 –Business Communications
Favorite aspect of Coastal?: The size. Classes are small enough for student-prof relationships, also I can see anyone I want to and don’t have to see anyone I don’t want to.
Favorite aspect of living in the Conway/Myrtle Beach area?: How early nice weather comes around in the spring semester.
Clubs/Intramurals/other extracurricular activities involved in?: Pi Kappa Alpha, Wall Fellows class of 2018.
Do you work anywhere currently (either on or off campus)?: Supervisor at HTC Center Fitness Floor
Plans after graduation?: Graduate school for MBA
What are your hobbies?: Intramural Sports
