Samantha's Video

Although she grew up in Myrtle Beach, Samantha Schoener needed to travel about fifteen miles to the northwest to truly be herself. Once she arrived at Coastal Carolina University, Samantha notes that she was able to “come out of my shell.”

A junior majoring in elementary education, Samantha is loving her time as a Chant. Impressed with the atmosphere and Coastal pride that is evident on campus, she has found a home. Samantha credits the people she has met for helping her evolve as a person and succeed in her program.  Having selected Coastal because she believed that it would provide her with the most opportunities, it is safe to say that her expectation has turned into a reality.

Samantha lives by the notion that “the best is yet to come.” If this belief holds true, it means she will be in great shape when she attends graduate school to earn a degree in literacy. Then, if her motto still holds up, can you imagine what her professional career will bring? The sky is the limit for Samantha

Samantha's uncle and mom both graduated from Coastal.
