Tiffany's Video

Tiffany Johnson has every reason to feel good about herself right now. She started her senior year on Monday, she celebrated her birthday this week and she recently wrapped up a successful stint as an orientation leader.

Oh yeah, she was also chosen to lead off the 2017-18 #CCUfamily campaign.

Kicking off a major social media feature takes a special kind of student and Tiffany fits the bill. A founder of the Tau Psi Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi professional business fraternity, she is motivated and career-focused. She is also assertive. As the loss prevention lead at the area’s Old Navy store, Tiffany prevents and cracks down on theft, helping her to develop both her people-reading and confrontation skills. Ready to hit the corporate world with the accounting degree she will earn in May, she will use the next two semesters to absorb knowledge and learn lessons that will make her just a bit more complete come graduation.

However, there was a time when Tiffany thought she might not make it to a Coastal graduation. After her freshman year, she considered transferring somewhere else. Her appointment as a resident adviser changed all that. Surrounded by a terrific staff and overwhelmed with a sense of family, Tiffany never looked back. Needless to say, Coastal couldn’t be more pleased.

Enjoy your senior year, Tiffany!

Q&A with Tiffany

How did you hear about Coastal?:  A teacher I had in high school would do a “College of the Day” feature where she put pictures of colleges on the board and we talked about them. I had never heard of Coastal Carolina University before the day in class when she featured it.

Why did you come to Coastal?:  Downtown Conway is a lot like my hometown, so I immediately was attracted to it. I also loved the idea that Coastal was a medium sized school, so the professors would actually know who I am rather than just my name on a piece of paper.

Favorite professor: Sheila Mitchell

Favorite class: Accounting 336, Account Systems and Data Processes

Favorite aspect of Coastal?: The community, I feel like everyone at Coastal is one big family.

Favorite aspect of living in the Conway/Myrtle Beach area?: It reminds me a lot of my hometown! Also, I enjoy the downtown shops, the location from the beach and the palm trees.

Clubs/Intramurals/other extracurricular activities involved in?: I am a founding father of the Tau Psi Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi professional business fraternity on campus. I am also a 2017 orientation leader.

Do you work anywhere currently (either on or off campus)?:  I work as a desk manager for University Housing and as the loss prevention lead at Old Navy.

Plans after graduation?:  I want to take a year off in order to get an internship and then I would like to go to grad school.

What are your hobbies?: Chilling at the beach or relaxing in bed watching Netflix.

Do you have any hidden talents?: I can say my alphabet backwards.
