ONLINE COURSE FOR FACULTY: Quality Matters Training
The Quality Matters (QM) Training session is designed to provide instructors with an introduction to the
QM Program and to the specific standards that make up the QM Rubric. Quality Matters is framed by a
set of standards that is designed to certify the quality of online and blended courses. However, the
standards can also be used as a checklist when designing courses to ensure quality education. This
course can be beneficial to any faculty member whether they are an online teaching veteran or they are
just getting started.
At the conclusion of this session, instructors will be able to:
Identify and explain the history of the QM Program
Identify and explain the QM course review process
Identify and explain the eight general standards of the QM Rubric
