Maymester Distance Learning Boot Camp (May 13-16 - ALL SESSIONS)
This camp will be offered in a blended format which will be face-to-face on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, May 13-16, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm. There will also be an online portion which faculty will be required to complete to receive credit full credit for the Boot Camp per the Distance Learning Policy. Faculty members will learn the basics of designing, developing and teaching a distance learning course. At the end of the week, you will have the knowledge and skills needed to build your first distance or hybrid course, as well as a basic template for the course. Hurry and sign up today! Planned activities include: Course design for distance learning, what to do the first week of class and before, creating a distance learning syllabus, organizing your course, transitioning face-to-face activities to an online environment, creating digital content for your distance learning course, evaluating technologies for a distance learning course, assessing the quality with Quality Matters of your distance learning course and workshop time.
