ETV town hall forum to be hosted by Coastal

ETV, in partnership with WBTW-TV Florence/Myrtle Beach and the Florence Morning News, will present two town hall forums titled I-73: Road to the Future? to discuss plans for a new Interstate highway in the Palmetto State.

Interstate 73 will extend from Michigan to the Grand Strand, and the two forums will take a close look at the proposed routes for the highway as well as the environmental and economic impact it will have on the northeast corner of South Carolina.

Hosted by WBTWs Bob Juback, both forums will feature a panel of experts, including state and local officials and community leaders, with comments from U.S. Senator Jim DeMint. These events are open to the public and participants will have the opportunity to ask questions.

I-73: Road to the Future? Part I will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at Coastal in the Wall Auditorium. I-73: Road to the Future? Part II will be held on Thursday, Nov. 17 from Francis Marion Universitys Hyman Fine Arts Center Theatre. Each night the hour-long forum begins at 5 p.m.

Both forums will be broadcast at the following times:

Television

WBTW will join the forums in progress from 5:30 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 15 and Nov. 17.

ETVs WJPM-TV will air coverage of the forums statewide from 7 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 15 and Nov. 17 .

ETVs digital broadcast service, the South Carolina Channel, will air Your Day at 3 p.m. on Nov. 16 to discuss the issues surrounding Interstate 73.

ETV Radio

Wednesday, Nov. 16 at noon, Your Day will broadcast a special edition to discuss the issues surrounding Interstate 73.
