CCUs Sustainability Initiative offers workshop on green construction
Coastals Campus and Community Sustainability Initiative in partnership with the North Inlet-Winyah Bay Coastal Training Program (CTP) and the ACE Basin Coastal Training Program will offer the workshop at the Waccamaw Higher Education Center in Litchfield from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
There is no fee for registering, but seating is limited, and registration will be on a first come, first served basis. The deadline to register is Jan. 18.
The workshop will provide design, development and construction professionals with practical strategies for designing and building commercial edifices that balance the complementary goals of environmental sustainability and economic viability.
The training is part of a southeast regional training initiative within the National Estuarine Research Reserve.
A box lunch from Kudzu Bakery will be available for $6, or attendees may bring their own lunch.
