Coastal Carolina University to co-host Growth Summit

Coastal Carolina University is co-hosting the sixth annual Growth Summit on Friday, Aug. 10 from 1:30 to 5 p.m. in the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration. The event is free and open to the public, but reservations are required.

The Sun News is also sponsoring the summit.

Business and community leaders will hear from Buck Limehouse, new S.C. secretary of transportation, and Barry DuVal, former Virginia secretary of commerce who is now president and chief executive officer of a consulting firm that specializes in strategic planning for business, government agencies and municipalities.

The focus of the meeting will be the potential effect of Interstate 73 on economic development and quality of life in the Carolinas.
