Coastal Carolina Universitys Division of Extended Learning and Public Services and its Lifelong Learning Society will receive ongoing financial support from Conway-based SeniorSSuperStoreS.

SeniorSSuperStoreS, which owns and operates two Internet sites: and, will donate a percentage of its gross revenues to Coastals Lifelong Learning Society. Revenues will be comprised of product sales, advertising revenues, and revenues from services it makes available to visitors and users through both Web sites.

We are pleased to establish this relationship with a local company which has similar views about the importance of the role of our aging population in the community, said Peter Balsamo, dean of Coastals Division of Extended Learning and Public Services. The success of our program, especially the furnishing and equipping of the new H. Dale Williams Center for Extended Learning, will be enhanced by the monies we receive from this arrangement. We have built a model program of its type in the country and we plan on strengthening it with the support of a company which focuses on the needs of senior adults.

The SeniorSSuperStoreS Web site features, in addition to a wide variety of products selected for seniors and those who shop for seniors, a Community Room, which contains news wire services and an array of other resources and information. The e-seniors-village site is a developing portal for seniors and features Internet navigational aids, services and programs of interest to seniors, and an Internet chat room.

Our company and Coastals Lifelong Learning Society have much in common, said Paul Smith, founder and president of SeniorSSuperStoreS. The Societys purpose is to make continuing learning, social opportunities and resources available to the older citizens in the community in a quality setting. Our companys theme is to meet the lifestyle needs of mature adults. We offer products, services and resources selected to enhance the health, safety and financial lifestyles of baby boomers and seniors. Just as we carefully select what we offer our visitors and customers, we have carefully selected the Lifelong Learning Society to receive our financial support.
