CCU Saxophone Ensemble to perform

Coastal Carolina Universitys Saxophone Studio Ensemble will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9 in the Recital Hall of the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts.

The Saxophone Ensemble, directed by Dan OReilly, performs a variety of musical styles with concerts featuring a mix of classical, jazz and popular melodies. Students will perform on alto, tenor and baritone saxes.

The performance will include The Heavens Are Telling by Franz Joseph Haydn, A Stephen Foster Medley, In Den Angenehmen Buschen by George Frederick Handel, As Time Goes By by Herman Haupfeld, Tiger Rag by Nick LaRocca, Ain't Misbehavin by Fats Waller and more.

Student performers include Dan Vigo, Josh Maxwell, Jacqui King and Jon Miller.

General admission is $3, and children (10 and under) are admitted free. Coastal Carolina University and Horry Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) students receive one free ticket per valid ID, and CCU and HGTC faculty and staff receive two free tickets per valid ID.
