Comedian Stephen Lynch to perform at Coastal April 3

March 26, 2002

Stand-up comedian Stephen Lynch will bring his one-man stage show to Coastal Carolina University on Wednesday, April 3 at 7 p.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium. The performance, titled "I'll See You In Hell - An Evening of Love Songs," is free and open to the public.

Lynch, a guitarist with an uncanny sense of comic timing, has built his reputation by performing twisted love songs. He launched his career at New York's legendary Catch A Rising Star. In fall 2000 Lynch had his first television special, Comedy Central Presents Stephen Lynch, and conducted a 41-city college tour in support of his debut CD A Little Bit Special.

A native of Kalamazoo, Mich., Lynch has opened for such headline performers as Steven Wright, Jeff Foxworthy, Bobcat Goldthwait, Anthony Clark and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. His television credits include hosting VH-1's Street Games as well as appearances on Comedy Central's Premium Blend and Hi-Fi Party, hosted by Sandra Bernhard and Isaac Hayes.

The event is sponsored by Coastal Productions Board, the university's student programming board.
