February 26, 2003

The Adande Drum and Dance Company, a group of professional African-American artists based in North Charleston, S.C., will perform Saturday, March 8 at 7 p.m. in Coastal Carolina University's Wall Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

Performances by the Adande company combine history and entertainment. The disciplined beat of the African chant provides the structure, rhythm and energy for this distinctive art form.
