Coastal graduating seniors' artwork is on exhibit
The semi-annual exhibit showcases the talent of students studying art in the Robin W. and Thomas W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts, which is where the gallery is located. The show, curated by gallery director Will Hipps, continues through Dec. 13.
Thirty-five pieces are on display, ranging from the metal sculpture of Lowery to the wild acrylic painting of Jason Moore's surfboard to the beautiful stone and wood sculpture, "Twisted," by Helen Horne. The media is varied and interesting, including two digital portfolios.
Students in the show are: Horne, of Pawleys Island; Tasheta Latrice Jones, of Lanham-Seabrook, Md.; Lowery, of Myrtle Beach; Moore, of Greensboro, N.C.; and Aaryn Munson of Loveland, Ohio.
Three art exhibits are mounted each semester in the spring and fall; they are always free and open to the public at 234-3466.
