Saturday matinee canceled for Streetcar at Coastal
Performances are at 7:30 nightly Wednesday through Saturday, with a matinee at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14. General admission is $10, students 18 and under $5. Seating is limited.
Tennessee Williams classic play is being presented by Coastals Department of Performing Arts at the Black Box Theater in the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts.
Streetcar is the story of Blanche DuBois, a fragile and neurotic woman on a desperate prowl for a place in the world to call her own. She takes refuge in New Orleans French Quarter with her sister Stella and brother-in-law, the violent Stanley Kowalski, as rumors of her scandalous past begin to catch up with her.
Directed by Tom Jones, the 17-member cast is composed of Coastal theater students. The play lasts approximately two hours with an intermission. Due to subject matter, it may not be suitable for children.
