Coastals graduating artists open exhibition of their work

Six graduating seniors at Coastal Carolina University will exhibit the best of their artwork in the Fall 2004 Graduating Seniors show opening Monday, Nov. 29 and continuing through Friday, Dec. 10 in the Rebecca Randall Bryan Art Gallery.

A free, public reception will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 1 at Coastals gallery in the Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts. The gallery is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The exhibit will highlight the accomplishments of this semesters graduating seniors in the visual arts. Sunny Boyds portfolio includes painting, drawing and a multimedia sculptural work that includes wearable art. Robert Brownlow will exhibit sculpture and graphic design. Holt Graham will display works of graphic design. Stephanie Jones will present photography. Alexis Olson will show drawing, photography and printmaking. And D.J. Reynolds work will include graphic design and printmaking.

Also on display is the Salon des Refuss exhibit of student work in the second floor East Corridor of the Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts building. The exhibit displays 21 works of art ranging from painting and sculpture to printmaking and photography. The exhibit is open to the public during regular building hours and can be visited during the reception.
