COMMENCEMENT VIDEOS AND PHOTOGRAPHY:

Videos are available for $25 in DVD or VHS formats, please specify on order (price includes tax, shipping and handling).
Videos from past years can also be purchased upon request.
Chappell Studios is the official photographer of our commencement. Proofs will be sent to your home and via email within six weeks after commencement and can be ordered directly through Chappell. Chappell Studios can be reached at 800-247-3435 or www.chappell.com.
SEATING:
No tickets for the outdoor ceremony are needed; however, tickets will be needed for the indoor ceremony in the event of severe weather. Seating for the outdoor ceremony will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Guests are not allowed to hold or reserve seats for late arriving guests.
Seating will be available in the Wheelwright Auditorium for any guest who cannot sit outside at the stadium. A live webstream of commencement will be aired.
NOTE: Graduates are not to bring purses/valuables to commencement as there are no secure areas for storage.
SEVERE WEATHER PLAN:
Coastal Carolina University may announce a Severe Weather Plan for commencement exercises on Saturday, May 10, 2008. In case of severe weather there will be four ceremonies at Kimbel Arena located on the Coastal Carolina University campus. Tickets must be presented to enter Kimbel Arena.
Severe Weather Plan tickets are available in the Wheelwright Box Office beginning April 3, 2008. The DEADLINE for graduates to pick up their Severe Weather Plan tickets is Tuesday, May 6, 2008. In addition to the four (4) Severe Weather Plan tickets graduates are allotted and may have already picked-up, there may be a limited number of additional “Rush Tickets” available for the Severe Weather Plan. These additional "Rush Tickets," if available, will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis on Friday, May 9, 2008, from 12:00 p.m. (noon) until 4:30 p.m. only. There will be a limit of four (4) additional tickets per person while they last. Tickets must be picked-up in-person (no phone calls) at the Wheelwright Box Office and a CCU Student ID is required.

Families and guests: Special seating is limited only to those requiring assistance on a first-come, first-serve basis; please plan accordingly. For questions regarding special seating, you may contact Porter Medley at (843) 349-2131. Disabled persons can have no more than one family member assisting in special seating, if available.

PARKING/SHUTTLE:
Parking is available in all designated parking lots on the campus.
- Graduates: are asked to park in the Wall College of Business Parking lot across from the University Track and Field facility.
- Handicapped parking: will be available in the lot adjacent to Brooks Stadium. You must have a state issued handicapped parking permit to be allowed in this parking area.
A shuttle will be running before and after the ceremony on Chanticleer Drive making a loop around the campus to the front gates of Brooks Stadium.
REGALIA:
Student regalia permissible for commencement exercises include official Coastal Carolina University honors regalia and regalia of officially recognized student organizations approved through the Office of the Provost are permitted to be worn at commencement. Other stoles may be worn upon approval of the Office of the Provost.
Faculty are asked to wear appropriate academic regalia representative of their highest degree earned. Tams are not required to be worn, but may be worn if a faculty member so desires.
