Instructional Technology (IT)

The M.Ed. L&T Instructional Technology concentration provides certified teachers with advanced studies of the design, development, implementation, evaluation and management of instructional technologies and their potential to improve teaching practice, student performance, and professional productivity. Candidates who complete this curriculum will have the knowledge, skills and dispositions to provide leadership in instructional technology. All coursework is aligned to the National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS-T, 2008), published by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE).

II. CONCENTRATION STUDIES (15 credits)

• EDIT 630 Development of Instructional Multimedia (3)
• EDIT 640 Instructional Video Production (3)
• EDIT 650 Teaching and Learning Online (3)
• EDIT 660 Advanced Online Teaching (3)

Required:

• EDIT 690 Seminar in Instructional Technology (Capstone 3)
