The Spadoni College of Education at Coastal Carolina University seeks to offer high-quality academic programs that prepare graduates for successful careers in the fields of teaching and educational leadership. In carrying out its mission, the College's programs are designed and delivered to include technology-rich and meaningful on-campus learning experiences, as well as extensive applied learning experiences in off-campus settings. Through study in the College's programs, students not only have the opportunity to acquire a sound and theoretical knowledge base pertinent to their individual areas of specialization, but also have the opportunity to apply best practices in the professional world that they are preparing to enter. The Spadoni College of Education, through the work of its faculty and engaged students, also strives to contribute to the disciplinary body of research and knowledge as well as provide service to the local, state, and regional communities through targeted academic and service initiatives and centers. Throughout all its activities, both faculty and students are empowered to accept and embrace their responsibilities of entering the service professions of teaching and education.
