Peer to Peer Parents' Night Out
On Friday, October 21, 2016, the Spadoni College of Education Peer to Peer Mentoring Program hosted a Parents’ Night Out event. The night of fun began at 5:30pm, and concluded at 9:00pm in the Prince building. The Peer to Peer college mentors served as group leaders for the 30 children who attended, ranging from ages three to twelve. Parents were able to drop their children off to enjoy an evening of outdoor games, including sidewalk chalk, parachute, baseball, hula hooping, and jump rope. A variety of fall themed arts and crafts were provided for the children to create. A read aloud of, I Know an Old Lady who Swallowed a Fly took place, as well as math related activities. The night concluded with the movie, Toy Story 3. Dinner was also served during the children’s time spent at Parent’s Night Out. Both the children and mentors had a blast together, and are looking forward to the next Parents’ Night Out being held on December 2, 2016. New faces are always welcome, so we hope to see you then!
