The second issue of Waccamaw, the national online literary journal published from Coastal Carolina University, was launched on October 31, 2008 - the 213th anniversary of the birth of John Keats.

These authors have won, among other awards, the Pulitzer Prize in Poetry, the National Poetry Series, a New York Times Editor’s Choice Award, the Dorset Prize, Wallace Stegner Fellowships from Stanford University, and individual fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Lannan Foundation. Another was a finalist for last year’s National Book Award in poetry. Our authors have also published books with such houses as W. W. Norton, HarperCollins, and Houghton Mifflin.
