This project involves renovation and new construction improvements to the softball complex and construction of a new baseball stadium complex.

The project upgrades for the softball complex include a clubhouse/locker room, a coaches locker room, home dugout improvements, an additional hitting/pitching tunnel with improvements to current tunnel, improved concessions and restrooms for fans, and an upgraded pressbox. The baseball complex portion of this project includes demolishing the current stadium and replacing it with new seating, restroom and concession areas, media work space, clubhouse/locker rooms, coaches and umpire locker rooms. These upgrades are necessary to insure compliance with federally mandated Title IX guidelines.

January 16, 2013 - Plans and specifications posted for public view.

January 14, 2013 - Project advertised on SCBO.

December 18, 2012 - Met with Athletic Foundation to discuss timelines and funding.

September 19, 2012 - Received final comments from OSE.

September 06, 2012 - Seating and brick pavers have been removed.

September 04, 2012 - Demolition begins.

August 14, 2012 - Construction fencing installed.

August 13, 2012 - Disconnection of electrical.

August 02, 2012 - Plans and specs submitted to OSE for review and comment.

July 09, 2012 - Submitted demo package to Seamon Whiteside.

April 16, 2012 - Met with baseball personnel to review plans.

April 11, 2012 - DD documents available for review and comment.

March 01, 2012 - Meeting scheduled with design team and different disciplines throughout the campus that relate to project.

February 27, 2012 - Met with City of Conway on removal of trees located in path of construction.

February 22, 2012 - Submitted survey map and utility map to Michael Keeshen & Associates.

February 21, 2012 - Submitted request for soil borings to S&ME, Inc.

December 15, 2011 - A-1 for Phase II construction approved by SC Budget and Control Board.

December 07, 2011 - A-1 for Phase II construction approved by the JBRC.

November 09, 2011 - A-1 for Phase II construction submitted to SC Commission on Higher Education.

October 18, 2011 - Softball/Baseball Committees scheduled to meet to review options modified from last meeting.

September 21, 2011 - Selection committee met with Michael Keeshen & Associates to finalize preliminary floor plans and site plans

August 24, 2011 - Selection Committee scheduled to meet with Michael Keeshen and Associates.

July 08, 2011 - Selection Committee selected Michael Keeshen & Associates for A/E services.

July 07, 2011 - Design Team interviews scheduled.

June 07, 2011 - Selection Committee met to short list firms for interview.

May 18, 2011 - Resumes submitted to Selection Committee for review.

April 14, 2011 - Project advertised in SCBO.

February 08, 2011 - A-1 for Phase I design approved by SC Budget and Control Board.

February 02, 2011 - A-1 for Phase I design approved by Joint Bond Review Committee.

December 03, 2010 - A-1 for Phase I design approved by SC Commission on Higher Education.

November 19, 2010 - A-1 for Phase I design submitted to SC Commission on Higher Education.
