Office
of Financial Aid
Electronic filing is strongly recommended. It tends to be more accurate and the turn-around time is approximately three weeks versus four to six weeks if the paper FAFSA is filed.
- Apply for your FAFSA pin
- Complete the FAFSA - Note: Coastal Carolina University's School Code is 003451.
NOTE: New students and transfer students should make sure they apply for admission to Coastal Carolina University before or at the same time they begin the financial aid application process. Click here for CCU's Office of Admissions.
IMPORTANT: Changes to the FAFSA
Students with Qualified Educational Benefits, such as:
- 529 plans,
- prepaid tuition plans,
- Coverdell Education Savings Accounts,
need to go back to the FAFSA and update their information.
As part of the Higher Education Reconciliation Act of 2005 (HERA), assets were amended to allow the counting of qualified benefits as an asset under the parental section of the FAFSA, instead of the the student section. This change is a benefit to the student and will reduce the EFC.
