Coastal Carolina University seeks to enhance its academic outreach internationally, enable a talented and diverse group of learners on campus, and empower a broadened understanding and appreciation for global issues through its Global Initiatives. These activities promote the fulfillment of strategic internationalization goals of the campus and support Coastal Carolina University’s engagement and reputation with the world outside the USA by the following activities:
- coordinating with appropriate offices and units on and off campus to increase campus internationalization through study abroad, on-campus programming, community outreach, and increasing the diversity of students on campus through targeted international recruitment activities;
- developing and advancing international agreements and partnerships that broaden the resource base for the enactment of Coastal Carolina University’s mission internationally to establish collaborations and exchanges that further the University's teaching, research, and public service missions, and
- enhancing the post-graduation preparation of our students and the professional and personal advancement of our faculty and staff.
