New Course Proposals

-    MSCI 540 – Applied Coastal Geophysics (3.0) lec/lab A major discipline of the geosciences, geophysics is the study of the earth by quantitative physical methods such as electromagnetic, gravitational and acoustic/seismic techniques. The course offers a survey of geophysical principles and techniques commonly used in geologic and oceanographic research and studies.  The theoretical basis for various techniques is examined and direct applications are emphasized.

-    MUS 534 – Advanced Graduate Conducting (3.0) lec/lab Advanced study of applied techniques in conducting and score study.  Application of score analysis and interpretation of advanced literature of wind, orchestral or choral ensemble as a pedagogical focus is central to meeting education requirements.  This course may be repeated for credit.
