In conjunction with Coastal Carolina University, the Pee Dee Education Center provides a variety of graduate courses, most of which are offered online, for teachers in the Pee Dee region. Courses may be used for re-certification purposes, adding an additional areas of teaching endorsement, or, with an advisor approval, be applied to a degree program. Most of the courses offered will satisfy both the Critical Needs and PACE programs for teacher certification.
Different courses are offered each semester and in the summer depending on the needs of teachers in the member districts. Generally, a course must have at least 15 students in order for it to be held.
An application to Coastal Carolina University must be completed each time a teacher takes one of these courses, even if the application has been completed previously.
