GRANT FUNDING FROM A-Z: Grant Writing Workshop Series

The Office of Grants and Sponsored Research is pleased to announce a four-part Grant Writing Workshop Series, Grant Funding from A-Z, to be held on Thursdays in March and April in Kearns Hall Room 210.

The workshops are open to all faculty and staff, and we encourage you to attend one session, two sessions or all four of the sessions as your schedule and needs allow. We particularly encourage the attendance of new faculty.

Spaces are limited; please register by e-mailing Karen Fletcher at kfletch1@coastal.edu. Please include your full name, department, location, extension, e-mail and choice of session(s).

Grants Paperwork for Administrative Personnel

We are available for grants paperwork training at any time. Please contact Bruxanne Hein at 349-2918 to schedule a training for individuals, a department's administrative staff, or new staff from different departments. The paperwork workshop generally takes between 45 minutes to an hour.

Responsible Conduct of Research Workshop

This presentation discusses the history and necessity of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), what needs review and why, the new NSF mandates requiring training programs in human and animal subjects prior to submitting research proposals, as well as detailed information on the Responsible Conduct of Research training required by all faculty, staff, and students conducting research on campus. Can be presented to students, graduate students, faculty, staff.

The Office of Grants and Sponsored Research offers, through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Coastal Carolina University, grant writing workshops for non-profit organizations in the spring and fall of each year. Classes are held on a Saturday morning and typically take 3-3 1/2 hours. We are also able to bring a presentation to your group; please contact Bruxanne Hein at 843.349.2918 for more information.
