Writing Paper Proposals

The History Club and Sigma Tau Delta (the English honor society) are sponsoring an information session/proposal writing workshop on Tuesday October 27 at 6:00 PM (location TBD). For those of you who may be interested in presenting at the Celebration of Inquiry in February — and for those of you who would like to learn how to write a paper proposal in order to present work at a conference — this one-hour session will be very helpful. About half an hour will spent on what a proposal looks like (this information can be applied to ANY conference submission), and about half an hour will be spent helping you develop your own ideas and writing for the Celebration. Presenting at the Celebration, or another conference, will give you a competitive edge on job and graduate school applications, so I highly recommend that you attend this beneficial event.
