Admission
Admission to the Honors Program for Incoming Freshmen is by invitation from the Honors Program Director in consultation with the Office of Admissions. An Honors application is not required. If you meet the criteria listed below and did not receive an offer, please contact the Honors Program at 843-349-2267. Continuing and Transfer Students must apply directly to the Honors Program by completing an Honors Program Application (available online under Forms). Acceptance is conditional on the availability of space.
Freshmen: If you receive an offer for the Honors Program:
Have AP credits, IB credits and college transfer credits sent as early as possible. In order for the Registrar’s office to award credit, the granting institution must send an official copy of your record. It doesn’t count if it was on your high school transcript.
If you have 12 or more transferable credits, you are not required to take UNIV 110.
Take your CCU on-line placement tests for mathematics and foreign language before coming to the New Student Orientation and take them very seriously the first time.
Consider taking the CLEP exam if your foreign language results place you into the 210 level of Spanish, French, or German.
