Spring 2010 Internships
Internships with Habitat for Humanity - Georgetown County & Myrtle Beach
|
The Honors Program has 7 internships linked to the HONORS 325 (Service Learning) 3-credit course in the Spring of 2010. As you can see from the job descriptions, these internships can provide relevant work experiences to management, marketing, communication, accounting, finance, economics, computer science, psychology, and sociology majors. Even though they have suggested a possible work schedule for each internship, I believe that they understand they will need to work around the student’s schedule, especially because of the travel distance.
Students interested will need to apply for the internships through the Career Services Center at http://www.coastal.edu/career/chantsjob.html

Once accepted for the internship, students then sign up for HONORS 325 through the Honors Program Office. Weekly readings will support the educational component of the internships. Evidence of having done the readings (via brief response essays), completion of the internship, and a final 8-10 page paper will complete the academic requirement. |
