Living Learning Communities and Freshman Interest Groups

Coastal Carolina University Housing offers several opportunities for students to become invested and engaged in their communities. One option in pursuing further involvement is applying for a Living Learning Community (LLC) or Freshman Interest Group (FIG). Involvement in LLCs and FIGs has proven to be an effective way for students to become invested in their community, and involvement with a community has been shown to lead to better classroom performance and satisfaction with their experience at Coastal Carolina University. For more information on these opportunities, please contact Kathy Mortensen, Area Director for Main Campus at sih@coastal.edu.

Below is the link to the application. In order to be considered for selection, you must have applied for housing first and selected an interest in Special Interest Housing. If you have already applied for housing but did not mark Special Interest Housing on your housing application, please email this information to SIH@coastal.edu.

After selecting a Special Interest Housing community on your Fall 2013 housing application, please check your CCU email for an additional application process and all communication.
