A Student's Words of Wisdom
I had the good fortune of going to high school here in the Myrtle Beach area, so I know how to get around town. Hwy 544 is your new best friend. A 13-mile stretch, it runs from Conway all the way to Surfside and can take you directly to the beach. Avoid 501 during rush-hour, but don’t let that scare you away from Carolina Forest (south) and downtown Conway (north) for some local eatery gems. If you’re looking for tourist hot-spots, you can’t go wrong with Broadway at the Beach or the Boardwalk in downtown Myrtle. And if you’re in a shopping mood, don’t miss Market Common. In the spring, Pelicans baseball tickets are totally affordable and if you’re lucky, you might see a big-leauger or two warming up for the season.
